The episodes are produced by David Production by much of the same staff as the main JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series. Araki slowly expanded the series, which has two full volumes published as of 2020. The anime is based on the manga of the same name, which JoJo creator Hirohiko Araki initially drew as a one-shot manga back in back in 1997. The story follows the mishaps of Kishibe Rohan, the eccentric mangaka and Stand user of Heaven’s Door, on his various journeys to find new inspirations for his manga. This series is a spinoff of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. Netflix has licensed the four-episode anime OVA series Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan and is set to stream it globally in Spring 2021.
